SC-Area: Precision Costing for Large-Format Prints
SC-Area calculates printing costs based on the total print area (sq ft), making it ideal for large-format prints such as banners, posters, and signage. Instead of pricing by sheets, SC-Area determines costs based on the actual dimensions of the final product, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
How SC-Area Works
When a user enters the width and height of the final print, SC-Area calculates the total printable area and determines the cost accordingly. Additional finishing options—such as eyelets, pole pockets, hemming, or lamination—are factored in separately, ensuring precise and transparent pricing.
SC-Area also allows you to define multiple roll material widths (e.g., 127cm, 240cm, 300cm). When a customer selects a custom size, SC-Area automatically optimizes material selection by choosing the best-fit roll width, minimizing material waste and cost inefficiencies.
Example Use Case
For instance, if a customer orders a banner measuring 10ft x 3ft, SC-Area will calculate the total print area (30 sq ft) and generate the cost. If finishing options such as eyelets every 1ft or a pole are added, SC-Area automatically factors in these costs based on the perimeter of the banner. This approach optimizes material usage and ensures accurate pricing.
